1. Head to Microsoft's Feature Packs page, http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/feature-packs , and fill out the short form to request a free product key.
   
   

2. Once you've received the e-mail with the key, copy the product key and then hit Windows + w keys, type add feature , click on Add feature to Windows 8
   
   
   

3. Click I already have a product key
   
   
   

4. Type or paste in your product key, click Next
   
   
   

5. Accept the license terms and then click Add features
