Note : If you already have a twitter
account, then proceed reading, else you will first need
to signup for an account so that you would be able to
enable it in OS X Mountain Lion. To sign up for a
Twitter account, go to
http://www.twitter.com/
Lets first enable Twitter in OS
X Mountain Lion, and then see few examples on how deeply
Twitter is now integrated into OS X.
To Enable Twitter in OS X Mountain
Lion, follow the below steps:

Open
System Preferences. Do this by
clicking on the Apple logo
in the top left side of the screen and then click on
System
Preferences...

In
System Preferences and under the
Internet and Wireless section,
click on Mail, Contacts & Calendars

Inside the Mail,
Contacts & Calendars preferences,
click on
Twitter, type your login
information for Twitter, then click Sign In

Once you are signed
in, your Twitter account will be displayed in the
left pane of
Mail, Contacts & Calendars
preferences. You can now close System Preferences, and
start sending tweets from almost anywhere in OS X
Mountain Lion.
